This Laboratory is used to impart the knowledge of DC and AC Machines to the students. The state-of–the-art facilities in the laboratory are very useful to conduct experiments to supplement the theoretical knowledge gained by the students during the classroom teaching. Further, the worksheets given to the students during the practical session make them understand the industry relevance of the experiments.

This laboratory helps the students to construct various motor control circuits using industrial standard Electro-magnetic contactors and push buttons. Each work bench is equipped with a MCB controlled three-phase AC supply and single phase AC supply to conduct various experiments taking into consideration of safety aspects. This laboratory also helps the final year students to gain knowledge on control panel wiring. The facilities available in the laboratory help the students to understand the operation of Semiconductor Devices and Power Electronics converters such as, SCR, TRIAC, DIAC and MOSFET.

This Laboratory helps the students to understand the characteristics and applications of basic electronic devices. Each work table is equipped with DC and AC Power Supply Unit fabricated by our supporting staff. The latest addition of National Instruments (NI) ELVIS II Electronics board with NI Instrument Launcher software facilitates the students to learn and understand the virtualization of Analog and Digital Electronics Circuits. In addition, the students are educated on the use of standard instruments such as Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators and Digital Millimetres. Apart from the regular curriculum, the students are encouraged to do mini projects. The laboratories are kept open even after the college hours so as to enable the students to engage themselves in designing /testing the new circuits and mini projects. This lab also has various digital ICs and equipment like latest model Digital IC trainer Kits to perform Digital Logic Design experiments and projects.

The PLC lab contains multiple workstations equipped with computers, PLC units and other interfacing devices to train students on how to program and upload ladder logic codes. Students design ladder logic code using TIA Portal software and RSLogix 500 software. The lab has various brands of SIEMENS and Allen Bradley PLCs, which are widely used in industries. Students learn the ladder logic programming, Interfacing different analog and digital I/O's with PLC and Interfacing PLC with HMI. They acquire adequate practical skills to design the basic automation process.
During odd semester, this Laboratory is used to conduct Practical on ‘Microcontroller’. It helps the students to understand the basic operation of Microcontroller along with fundamental programming skills in assembly language. This laboratory provides the students with hand-on experience to interface input / output devices, perform A/D and D/A conversions, traffic light control system etc., The features and facilities available in this laboratory enable the students to do their projects to enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies.

This laboratory is established to conduct Industry Based Elective on "Solar Photovoltaic Systems" for final year students. M/s VATIO Energy India Pvt Ltd, Chennai is the Industrial partner in establishing this laboratory. It is equipped with different types of Solar PV Modules, Charge controller and Inverter. It is used to conduct practical on Photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules and perform detailed analysis in PV systems design and characterization.

Industry Partnership: Our department has signed an MoU with M/s Johnson Lifts Pvt Ltd, Chennai for offering industry based elective titled "Vertical Transportation Systems" to our Electrical and Electronics Engineering students.
Under CSR initiative, M/s Johnson Lifts Pvt Ltd has set up state-of-the-art workshops such as Electrical Lab - I, Maintenance Lab-II and Elevator shaft structure at our institute to conduct Theory and Practical classes for Elective courses.
