IE(I) Students' Chapter (#626108) of our polytechnic college was inaugurated on 27-02-1984 and has been functioning commendably since its inception. All the students of our institute are enrolled as the members of the Students' Chapter and encouraged to enrich their professional skills. Shri R. KARTHIKEYAN, M.E., M.I.E., M.I.S.T.E., Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering acts as the Faculty Advisor for the IE(I) Students’ Chapter.

Our Polytechnic has won the prestigious Dr. Amitabha Bhattacharyya Memorial Trophy eight times for being the Best Polytechnic Students Chapter, since 2000.
