CIICP has established Computer Extension Centres at P.A.C.M. Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam and at P.A.C.R. Ammani Ammal Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam for training the school students using computers as per the curriculum requirement.
CIICP of our Institution has been successfully conducted the following state level Programme for the benefit of Staff Members from various Polytechnics in Tamilnadu.
State Project coordination Unit (SPCU) under the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, Tamilnadu has awarded the CIICP of our Polytechnic college as one of the “Best performing Institutions” in appreciation of admirable activities carried out under the project in the years 2013-2017.
Mr. Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Principal Secretary to Higher Education department, Government of Tamilnadu has awarded with citation to our Principal Dr.R. Venkatraj at a function in DOTE, Chennai on 22.11.2017.
Out of the total internal revenue generation, 40% of it was utilized for providing various infrastructure facilities in our Institution. We have purchased Solar Power Plant, Electrical Equipment & accessories, Computer systems, printer, LCD Projector, Furniture & Fitting items, R&A/c, Textile, Mechanical and Civil Lab Equipment, Computer Software, UPS, A/C Units, 3 Axis CNC machine, 3D Printer. We have purchased various assets from the year 2007 to 2019. We have provided Wi-Fi net work connection in our entire campus with the upgradation of existing Cyberoam Fire wall. We have network connection for sll the class rooms as well as to all Laboratories.
We have established a new e-Yantra Robotics lab under e-Yantra project in collaboration with IIT, Mumbai. The equipment was sponsored by SPCU, DOTE, Chennai. The equipment is utilised for automation related Projects, Continuing Education Programs and training to the students of nearby Schools and Colleges.
We have organised a four days training programme on “Problem Based Learning & Peer Instruction” which was sponsored by the State Project Coordination Unit – CIICP, DOTE, Chennai. 25 teaching faculties from 19 Polytechnic Colleges have attended the training programme during Jan 2012. Two faculties from Canadian Community Colleges were acted as resource persons. They shared their expertise in the concept and implementation methods on Problem Based Learning & Peer Instruction with the participants.
Mr. G. Ganesh Kumar, Lecturer /Mechanical visited Dubai during May / June, 2010 to impart training on Advanced CAD & MEP training to the employees of M/s ETA Ascon, Dubai.
Mr. P.R.Maniarasu, Lecturer/ Civil visited Dubai to impart training”Modern Surveying Solution “ for the members of Dubai Institute of Business management.
